ലക്ഷദ്വീപിലെ ലിപിയില്ലാത്ത 'ജസരി'ഭാഷയില് നിര്മ്മിച്ച ആദ്യ ചലച്ചിത്രം സിന്ജാര് രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയുടെ 'പോട്ട്പുരി ഇന്ത്യ' വിഭാഗത്തില് പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിക്കും. സംവിധായകനും പാമ്പള്ളി ഒരുക്കിയ ചിത്രം 2017 ലെ മികച്ച നവാഗത സംവിധായകന്, മികച്ച ജസരി ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ള ദേശീയ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള് നേടിയിരുന്നു. 2014ല് ഇറാഖിലെ സിന്ജാര് പ്രവിശ്യയില് നടന്ന കൂട്ടക്കൊലയില് നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുന്ന രണ്ടു യുവതികളുടെ സംഭവകഥയാണ് ചിത്രത്തിനാധാരം. നിരവധി വിദേശ-ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്രമേളകളില് മികച്ച പ്രതികരണം നേടിയ സിന്ജാറില് സ്രിന്ഡാ അര്ഹാന്, മൈഥിലി, മുസ്തഫ, സേതുലക്ഷ്മി തുടങ്ങയവരാണ് പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.
“Those who ban films, have not seen the films. As for ‘Muhammad’ (Muhammad: The Messenger of God), I don’t even know what is wrong.
