IFFK invites Media Awards entries


Applications for the Media Awards organized in association with the 23rd IFFK are invited. Media including newspaper, radio, television and online can submit the copies of news reports at the Media Cell in the Tagore theatre before 8 PM today (Dec 12). Award categories for best photographer and cameraperson are included this year.
Audio-visual media must provide two copies of the news reports in pen drive and print media must submit three original copies of the newspaper, in which the stories are printed. Entries for photography awards must submit three original newspapers, in which the photographs are being printed. Online applicants can submit their nominations through pen drives or send their stories’ web links to the email id iffkmediaawards2018@gmail.com. Letter from the concerned Chief Editor/ Bureau Chief of the respective media must be produced with the submission. Online media must include the web links along with the letter. The 23 rd edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala, after a week of film-viewing experience, will come to an end today (Dec 13) evening. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Closing Ceremony in Nishagandhi Auditorium at 6 PM. 'ഡാര്‍ക്ക് ഈസ് ദ നൈറ്റ്' ന്റെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ പ്രദര്‍ശനം ടൊറന്റോ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ പ്രേക്ഷക പ്രശംസ നേടിയ 'ഡാര്‍ക്ക് ഈസ് ദ നൈറ്റ്' ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 4 ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ജൂറി വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കും.ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ പ്രദര്‍ശനമാകും മേളയില്‍ നടക്കുക. No Shave November: Kamal Flags Off Motorcycle Awareness Rally

A motorcycle awareness rally, organized by No Shave November India headed by Raru Chempazanthy, was flagged off by Kamal, Chairman, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. The rally which started from Tagore Theatre, Trivandrum, will have riders travelling to Kasargod and back in eight days, with the mission of raising funds of 15 lakhs for a noble cause – a liver transplantation for a four-year old. Raru, who initiated No Shave November in India, will lead the mission along with Shiny, the first woman rider to ride from Kanyakumari to Himalaya. Raru will ride the entire course, while others including rider club and beard club members will join on the way. The rally will come to a close on December 20. Raru established No Shave November India four years back along with his friend Antos, aiming to help fund cancer treatment.
