വേര്‍പിരിഞ്ഞവര്‍ക്ക് മേളയുടെ ആദരാഞ്ജലി

കഴിഞ്ഞ രാജ്യാന്തര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയ്ക്കുശേഷം അന്തരിച്ച ചലച്ചിത്ര പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ക്ക് പ്രേക്ഷകരുടെ ആദരാഞ്ജലി. അക്കാദമി വൈസ് ചെയര്‍മാനും ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകനുമായിരുന്ന ജോണ്‍ ശങ്കരമംഗലം, നടി ശ്രീദേവി, സംവിധായിക കല്‍പന ലാജ്മി, സംവിധായകന്‍ തമ്പി കണ്ണന്താനം, താരങ്ങളായ ക്യാപ്ടന്‍ രാജു, കൊല്ലം അജിത്ത്, കലാശാല ബാബു, എഴുത്തുകാരന്‍ എം. സുകുമാരന്‍, അകാലത്തില്‍ പൊലിഞ്ഞ വയലിന്‍ മാന്ത്രികന്‍ ബാലഭാസ്‌കര്‍, ഗസല്‍ ഗായകന്‍ ഉമ്പായി തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ക്കാണ് ചലച്ചിത്രമേള ആദരാഞ്ജലി അര്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. ചടങ്ങിനോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ച് എം സുകുമാരന്‍ കഥയും സിനിമയും എന്ന പുസ്തകം കെ.പി കുമാരന്‍ ഫിലിം സൊസൈറ്റി പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനായ കെ.എം ഗഫൂറിന് നല്‍കി പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു. ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി പുറക്കിറക്കിയ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ ലേഖനങ്ങളുടെ സമാഹരണം പ്രദീപ് പനങ്ങാടിന്റേതാണ്.

'ഡാര്‍ക്ക് ഈസ് ദ നൈറ്റ്' ന്റെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ പ്രദര്‍ശനം ടൊറന്റോ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചലച്ചിത്രമേളയില്‍ പ്രേക്ഷക പ്രശംസ നേടിയ 'ഡാര്‍ക്ക് ഈസ് ദ നൈറ്റ്' ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 4 ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ ജൂറി വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിക്കും.ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ പ്രദര്‍ശനമാകും മേളയില്‍ നടക്കുക. “Those who ban films, have not seen the films. As for ‘Muhammad’ (Muhammad: The Messenger of God), I don’t even know what is wrong.
